Home Sweet Home...

I don't know if all of you have known about my standing application with DBP - Gensan.
It has been there for awhile, actually... Standing...since May 2008.
I was not really counting on getting hired for several reasons.
First, I just sent my application through the internet.
Second, I was not sure that there are openings. It was just a spurt of the moment-thing.
Third, I got pregnant in October and it was during that time when they called up and informed me that I was considered to take their pre-employment examination.

It was a whole day examination.
From 9am until 4:30pm.
I was on my first month of pregnancy and you could just imagine the morning sickness I was going through...
It was unthinkable.
Never really thought I could make it...

But I did.
After being tired of waiting for the result, they finally called me up around the last week of January, informing me that I am being considered for a position.
Hah! Just when I least expected it...

So, yesterday, after I printed out my resignation letter, I talked to my boss.
I guess she must have somehow expected it because she didn't make such a big fuss about it.
By now, my resignation letter, I believe is at HR already.
Oh well...

So, Gensan, here I come...
After years of being away, I'll be back.
Back to the place I've come to love and hate at the same time.
I'm kinda scared thinking about it last night.
I've come to love DAvao so much...
With its busy but tolerable frenzy environment...
Traffice lights, overpass structures, pedestrian lanes, and the "Green Traffic Men" in the streets...
... Lovely coffeeshops and all night long transportation...
... Stylish people... great malls... my "chatter-ful" officemates...
... Sandy... Gaga... my sisters-in-law... our boarding house... (i'm really gonna miss them the most)
... the sense of security and safety that is in the air...
Aaah... I'm really gonna miss it here...

But on the other side, there may be a lot here in Davao that Gensan doesn't have...
But Gensan has what Davao can never offer me...
...My family and long-time friends...
...Neighbors... Familiar people...
... And most of all... HOME...
I don't think I could ever exchange that for anything else...

So, right now, each time I feel sad about leaving Davao in a matter of weeks,
I tell myself:

"Don't worry... You'll be HOME SWEET HOME,after all..."

Hi Everyone!! My First...

Hi there everyone…this is my first ever “ as of the moment blog “ and it feels great..hehehe..I always feel great.

I am writing this piece using my first very own PC hehehe (yabang..) and at last I’ve got one!! I have been longing to have one of my own and here it is! Accomplishment keeu.

I had a great time when I was in Davao the other week. I spent a whole week. It was such a breather, I was able to go and spend relaxing moments at the Pearl Farm ( syal na jud noh? sauna kay hantod Tropicana lng..hehehe). And I’m looking forward to a lotta other adventures coming in the near future…

Gha, I love the pics we had when we had our dinner last Valentine’s. I enjoyed the company as usual Bors, Tats and Ghaga.

Nald, what a loooong blog…sure you got tired after posting it..hehehehe…and for God’s sake yoyu’re going down south!!! I mean, assigned na pud ka Bacolod. What’s next? Jolo or Patikul?? Hehehehe..but good for you. You get to taste a lot of…tooooootttt ( fill in the blank ).

Hello there Pipols!

it has been awhile since im out of the circulation and i felt so far from u guys but im pretty sure that even without constant calling and texting still each of us is in everyone's heart. i miss u so much guys!the laughter, tears, kaon, laags, the lingua etc...huuhuhuhhuh maka miss jud kaayo. Well anyway, this is the first time im gonna post a blog on this site and i know ako ang ulahi sa inyong tanan and i remember ako pa nangulit kay bora na magkaroon tayo ng blogsite..hahay ana jud ang tanan...heheheheh

Anyway, let me update u of my whereabouts sa mga nangaging mga adlaw....it has been more than a month na nomadic akong life...i have been travelling frequently and ang akong luggage maoy akong balay as in!...wa na ko nakauli sa bicol kay pirti na namong libot-libot sa south luzon, visayas ug ubang pang mga kalugaran. unya over the last 2weeks back to manila for series of meetings and trainings medyo makahago minsan pero full of learnings sab.oki ra. hopefully this saturday makauli nko sa bicol to make necessary closure sa akong apartment and to auction ang akong mga gamit sa balay kay again for the 6times i will be transfered na pud and this time is in Bacolod. Yes! u read it right i will be reassigned sa Negros island! i will be opening 3 new branches there...medyo mahirap xa because i will be undergoing multiple adjustments again...particularly in language! huhuhuh Ilonngo na pud after the bicol...hahay this is really it is! ayon pa kay ai-ai...ang 1 thing so sad pa, i will be flying there on the 26th and for sure...i can not join u in subic...huhuhuhuh very sad...i do not know what am i gonna do with my roundtrip tickets naga-manila...i will surely miss that activity kaya lang gawa ng tawag ng trabaho i must sacrifice...anyway magkikita na lng tayo sa summer on my bday of course and on sandy's wedding or in case u want to go to boracay, i can join u there...malapit na lng ako sa bora...iloilo is 45 mins away from bacolod so dili xa hassle and u know what APO diving site in near lng did2 so i can explore that too. hahay... cge lng guys.... i just want to ask favor from u that u will include me in ur prayers ung transfer ko to a new place...and the pipol na mahire namin for negros area.grabe na tlga tong work ko very missionary na jud kaau. cge lng ani na jud ni kay diri man ko gitawag...

Travel Review: SAGADA, Mt. Province

It wasn’t just a trip… it was an experience worthy of remembering… it is one memory that will forever be reminisced over and over again for the next couple of decades. going to SAGADA was just a dream for Sandy who had travelled around the archipelago over the last 5 years of her life… and her "visit-sagada-now" passion was so contagious that she was able to convince most of the home-buddies (like me!)to go along on that ala-amazing race itinerary… the ultimate destination was SAGADA, Mt. Province…a 13-hour ride from Manila via Banaue & the rough road of Bontoc… side trips included Baguio & its tourist spots, TAgaytay, & Enchanted Kingdom… Sagada was not actually a place….it is an experience…going there and staying in hotel rooms, going to souveneir shops, eating at their restaurants (that serve great, fresh food in enormous servings!), & enjoying the fresh air & cold water (the coldest i’ve ever laid my skin on!) are not at all the main events…they are just garnishings on the plate…. the real delicacy was visiting non-common sites like caves, rivers, falls, & burial sites… this might sound really unappealing to the non-mountaineer slash mall goers but trust me, you will never experience Sagada if those i’ve mentioned are not part of your schedule… getting to the sites and seeing them for real is so rewarding…

Sumaguing Cave was an incredible work of nature… the experience we had visiting it was worth relieving over and over again… i will forever be grateful because i have experienced being there. it will be something i will be able to share to my kids in the future. i hope that they will be lucky enough to be able to experience SAgada themselves….that by the time they are old enough and fit to travel on their own, sagada will still be unspoiled and beautiful as it is today. a place oozing with cultural heritage, nice people, and amazing sceneries…
