10 Best Things of Being Single

Hi people. This is copied from my Friendster blog. Do read, especially those who are still single (Gha, you are now included..this is not to further flame up the pain that you have right now but to give you a new light, that there are still a lot of advantages being single and unattached). Cheers everyone!

1. You can make last-minute plans withyour friends and stay out all night if you want.
2. You can lie on both sides of yourbed and have all the covers to yourself.
3. You can flirt with the opposite sex without someone saying, "Who are you looking at?Who are you looking at?"
4. You can make your own decisions.
5. You don’t have to remember your significant other’s birthday or anniversary.
6. You have no one to clean up after.
7. You can leave the toilet seat permanently up if you’re a man, or permanently down if you’re a woman.
8. You can make a list of things you always wanted to do…and actually do them.
9. You can listen to your favorite radio station in the car.
10. You can actually hold on to the remote control.

Just... about anything...

It's 10pm... I guess most people would wonder what on earth does a pregnant lady doing this late inside a coffee shop... I didn't get here for no reason, actually... I met with Angel (my former supervisor who now works for a different bank), chatted with her for almost two hours... Then came Caloy (Apple's boyfriend) with Apple's Christmas Gift in tow... We chatted for 15 minutes, the least... then off he went to report to work... (he's on night shift)... Then, here's Marlon... Boboy's bestfriend... the Best Man on our wedding day... and my officemate who's been bugging me since Monday to tutor him on Cashflows and etc... he'll be presenting his case study tomorrow and his financial statements are far from being balanced...haaay...
So, while he's working on his spreadsheets, I am left with no choice but to turn on the WIFI connection and enjoy this internet-thingy... (what on earth am I blabbing here???)
My bulging tummy is starting to itch these last few days... It's amazing how fast our baby is growing.... It seems only a few days when Boboy would tease me about "imagining" to be pregnant because my tummy then was so small it was hard to tell that a new life is already developing in there. Don't get me wrong, it's not as big as I might sound... it's big enough to show, that's what I really mean. Anyway, back to the itch problem... Weng said that I should never ever scratch it with my nails or with anything for that matter... or else, the stretch marks will be a horrible prize... I must admit that being pregnant means going through several discomforts... and these discomforts include:
1. Frequent trip to the rest rooms.
2. Nausea.
3. Stronger Smelling Sense (which means that you get to smell the awful scent of a sweaty man inside a PUJ no matter how far you are seated from him)
4. Having to drink lots and lots of fluids (which contribute to number 1 discomfort)
5. Bigger breasts (which, though advantageous at some point, is expensive because you really have to buy new bras because the existing ones don't fit anymore)
6. etc..etc...
But, seeing your baby's development in the ultrasound tv screen is so rewarding that those discomforts just don't measure up to it at all... and the sound of the baby's heartbeat... wow! it is the most amazing, wonderful sound in the entire universe...
So I decided to just enjoy every moment of this stage in my life... never mind the discomforts... I can live with them... ;-)
I must sound so insensitive huh?... after all, gha just wrote about how tough it has been on her part to lose someone she had dedicated her life to for the last five years (?)... --- wait, i'll have to pause...Marlon just gave up his attempt to balance his spreadsheets...ahhhh! this guy has to pay me an overtime fee! hmp!

HE'S NOT MINE ANYMORE :)

it was almost 8 in the morning when i realized that i still have work and obviously i was late..i woke so happy brought and courtesy of my dreams..:)

i dreamed na nagkita mi ni jun2 somewhere and we are both happy seeing each other again..he hugged me so tight and i cant explain myself how happy i was..:) but knowing that it was a just a dream i feel so disappointed and sad..i almost cried (pero naulaw lang ko kay nemia kay naa sya sa room that time) but i can't help myself but to cry pag abot sa office..realizing that he cant hug me anymore because he is not mine now.. i want to talk to him and eager to hear his voice but i cant (no..no)..i have to acccept the reality and bear in mind that my dream is just a dream...and leave it to my pillow who was the witnessed of it all.

i thank you guys for being there, you have a big part of my realization,it's you all who made me tough..:)

Holiday's Over!

Hi guys...Gong Xi Fa Cai! CNY Holiday's over here in Sg and it's back to reality...opening loads of emails, jotting down appointments and schedules, racing on deadlines..gosh! Therapy? Just say "I love my job" 100x every morning when you start to sit on your desk and face your monitor.

Well, had fun spending the Chinese New Year Holidays with Ate and some of our friends here. started just last Saturday until yesterday- 4 long days of work-free atmospehere, yipee!

Saturday- Ate and I went to stroll at West Mall. I bought her a bag as my Christmas promise, and I bought a new pair of shoes (contradicts 1 of my new year resolution of less shopping, huhuhu)....Then we had lunch at Pastamania with their Holiday Combo of Pasta, large-size drink and a mouth-watering apple crumble.yummy! worth every single cent we paid. And then I was magnetized with this iPhone thing when we learned that there is a Hello! Singtel shop just beside Pastamania...In my 3 months of stay here in Bukit Batok and 3 months of in and out of West Mall, now only that I knew there is one here..gosh!..well it's located at the back..not really inside the mall, I think you can guess what happened next...

Sunday- It's Ate's dayoff and she has not been to Sentosa ever since her arrival here in Sg last August so why not spend the eve of CNY in Sentosa. We went there with 2 of our friends. A perfect timing because Sentosa was also celebrating it's 2009 Flower Festival. Great landscape, colorful, vibrant flowers all around the whole recreational park. Of course, we visited some attractions like Images of Singapore ( while other visitors were reading history details of Singapore inside the museum, we were busy capturing photos of ourselves in different displays and in different angles...hehehe, i like the bluish night concept pictorials we did!) Sky Tower and the Merlion. and immersed ourselves to 4D Magix, Luge and Skyride adventures. We stayed there until night wrapping the whole experience with the amazing Songs of the Sea show, not to mention the pictorials galore everywhere, hehehe....

Monday- supposed to be trekking and nature tripping at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve but we were dead tired from our Sentosa escapade so decided to just stay home. A couch potato the whole day watching Heroes Season 3 episodes and other dvd movies like Atonement, Devil Wears Prada, Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and The Other Boleyn Girl.

Tuesday- A BBQ cum get-together party with my ex-Crown friends in our poolside here in Parkview. The pool water was blue and inviting so we all splashed in it!

and now it's over..Holiday's over...back to the real world of work stress, should I say. But at least we had break once in a while, and I think we should all manage to have breaks from work, or else, you'll end up staring blank in the mental cell. Just make your time balanced for everything.

Trip to Cotabato!

Let me share my first "as-of-the-moment" blog.

Well, I left Davao today and went to Cotabato for my quarterly branch's visit. In as much as I hate going, I have left with no choice but to go. The motto "I work to live and live to work", seems to still apply to me...hehe =) (haguar gani!)

Anyway, my every visit to Cotabato had been safe and sound. No bad experiences so far (still crossing my fingers on it!). I am also happy to see some improvements of the place everytime.

People were able to have dinner in Highway restaurants as late as 11pm...
I've learned they already have McDonald's. Too bad it didn't excite me! :(
There's a coffee shop in town, too..Coffee Experience..!
What's more great, is that our hotel room (though it looked like a hospital room) has a wifi connection... :)

I'll be here until Tuesday, guys. Tomorrow will be Pier visit!

Until next! =)

Editorial

At last, nald... your wish has been granted. Though we've (we: read as Sandy, Gaga, and yours truly) encountered several disappointing moments in creating this blogsite, it is with pleasure that we finally were able to pull the strings. (Thanks, Sandy! - as always!)

We came up with the "As of the Moment" title because the vision is for "everyone" in the group to post everything that he/she feels or thinks about people, events, experiences (and etc. of course!...) in this blogsite. No holds barred???! It's up to you... The important thing is, you've shown the real you "as of this moment."

So, move along guys and post it all! ;-)

Yours truly,

Bora Sangre
